Resolve an ECZ-ID
Look up any ECZ-ID, for a person or a machine, and read the answer correctly: what it supports, what it refuses, and what absence means.
Live in production and publicly readable, with no account and no key. Measured read-only on 2026-10-10.

For people
Open https://resolver.ecocitizenz.org/p/{ecz_id}. For example, the record behind this site: resolver.ecocitizenz.org/p/ECZ-GB-RBS1NW (opens in a new tab).
For machines
curl -s https://api.ecocitizenz.com/api/p/ECZ-GB-RBS1NW.json| Read | For |
|---|---|
resolver_v2.state | Lifecycle, tier and reliance level now |
resolver_v2.binding | Whether any binding is publicly proven |
resolver_v2.reliance | What the record supports and what it refuses |
resolver_v2.machine_policy | Which states to fail closed on, and which fields to use |
When there is no record
A 404 means no public ECZ-ID was found. It is not unsafe, not untrusted and not a failed check. A 429 or 503 means the record could not be read now; retry, and do not treat it as absence.
