Concepts

The model behind ECZ-ID, as one chain of ten questions a consequential machine action should answer. Each link has its concept page and its production status; the concepts that belong to a link sit beside it.

The Accountability Chain, concept by concept

  1. 01
    Identity

    Who or what is acting?

A persistent ECZ-ID for the actor, in one of seven machine families, under an accountable Business Passport.

    Live · public
  2. 02
    Authority

    Who or what authorised it?

The accountable principal and role that authorised the work, recorded on the Intent, never inferred from a Passport.

    Live · signed in
  3. 03
    Delegation

    What authority was delegated?

A delegated Intent may only narrow its parent. Depth is bounded and revocation cascades.

    Live · signed in
  4. 04
    Intent

What does it intend to do?

The authorised objective and its bounds: actions, resources, destinations, parameters, value, data classes, rate and time window.

    Live · signed in
  5. 05
    Current state

What state and policy apply now?

Lifecycle, tier, binding, freshness and evidence state, read live from the Resolver at the moment of reliance.

    Live · public
  6. 06
    Decision

    Should the action proceed?

IntentControl evaluates the proposed action against identity, authority, delegation, Intent, policy, current state and constraints.

    Release-gated
  7. 07
    Action

    What action was taken?

The action runs, or does not, in your system. ECZ-ID never executes it; an enforcement point can only allow, hold or block it.

    Your system
  8. 08
    Receipt

    What receipt exists?

A retrievable evidence object for a recorded event, decision, action, result or state. Core records receipts today; public retrieval is not enabled.

    No public retrieval
  9. 09
    Evidence

    What evidence supports it?

Every public record field carries its provenance (declared, or evidence-supported), live at the Resolver. Deeper evidence, Receipts and LedgerCore anchors, is held by Core and is not publicly retrievable. Integrity is not truth.

    No public retrieval
  10. 10
    Re-verify

    How can it be re-verified?

Anyone re-resolves the public record at the Resolver, live, with no account. A record is never cached as truth.
